Teen Mental Health First Aid Training

Key Details

Teen Mental Health First Aid Training equips secondary school students with the knowledge, skills, and confidence to recognise, understand and respond to a friend or classmate experiencing a mental health problem or mental health crisis. A qualified trainer will be running sessions over Saturday 27 and Sunday 28 July at the following times:

Grade 7 to 9
Saturday 27 July
9:00am to 12:00pm

Grade 10 to 12
Sunday 28 July
9:00am to 12:30pm

Participants will receive a certificate upon completion of training.

Lunch (pizza) will be provided from 12:00 pm. Please let us know if you have any dietary requirements.

All costs are paid for by FYA and the Young Mayors program, including catering.

The young people’s safety and wellbeing is our number one priority. Participants will be under supervision of a responsible adult (a staff member employed by FYA) at all times. All responsible adults have Working With Children’s Checks. We will always travel in a group and no one will be left alone (other than when they’re in their own rooms in the evening).
