Fisher’s Oysters

The First Nations Aquaculture Pathways Program is led by Shaun Fisher, a 33 yr old Mununjali Gorenpul Man from Minjerrribah. This program will create intergenerational pathways for Quandamooka youth to train, work, and stay connected to Country through aquaculture and cultural practices. Through a series of educational workshops with our youth, and the formation of aquaculture traineeships, we aim to restore our reefs, empower young people, and build a Blak-led aquaculture future. This project is self-determined, grounded in cultural law and guidance from Elders, and designed to strengthen both community and Country.
