Meet the Mackay Youth Council Candidates

Mackay Regional Council is partnering with the Foundation for Young Australians to launch the third iteration of the Young Mayors program; a Youth Council of young people 11 to 17 from Mackay.

We are excited to invite you to the 2026 Meet the Candidates event! This is your chance to meet the young people running for election on the Youth Council and hear their vision for Mackay.

While only 11 to 17 year olds can vote in the election, we welcome people of all ages to this event.

Date: Thursday 8 October 2026
Time: 5:15pm for a 5:30pm start. The event will finish at 7.30pm. Light snacks and drinks will be provided
Venue: Artspace Mackay, Civic Centre Precinct, 61 Gordon St, Mackay 4740
