Need help kick-starting a career conversation with a young person you know? We’ve pulled together resources, information and activities to help you along the way.
Below you will find two toolkits to provide you with up to date research on the future of work in Australia and links to video resources with accompanying activities and conversations starters.
The first toolkit is for parents and teachers with activities to initiate discussions around professional goals and helpful tools for self-directed exploration aimed at young people aged 15-21.
The second toolkit has been designed for employers and managers to support conversations about changes in the workforce and to encourage employees to reflect on their skills and identify opportunities to learn in the workplace. Both toolkits have been designed with flexible tasks so they can be tailored to your context.
FYA has partnered with the Federal Department of Education and Training to highlight the opportunities in Vocational Education for young Australians navigating the world of work. The So I Heard series explores just some of the many options out there.
