Alan has been CEO of CHOICE since 2012. Alan’s early career was in the not-for-profit sector, where he led campaigns for increased funding for health, homelessness and youth services. From 2009 to 2013 he was a member of the Prime Minister’s Council on Homelessness. In the decade before joining CHOICE, Alan worked in justice policy and administration, as Executive Director of the Australian Law Reform Commission, CEO of Legal Aid New South Wales and Chair of the National Legal Assistance Advisory Body. Alan has degrees in Arts and Law from UNSW and an Executive MBA from AGSM.
