Advocacy
FYA, and our Education Foundation division, has a long history of advocating on key youth issues relating to education and wellbeing. Drawing on quality, evidenced-based research, we have promoted new initiatives, policies and discussions that can have a significant and lasting impact on the life chances and outcomes of young Australians.
Our Back to School program is one example of the campaigns we lead at the national level. This month-long program celebrates the incredible role public schools play in our nation’s development and success. Across the country people from all walks of life go back to school to tell their stories and provide positive role models for young people. It’s about connecting schools with the wider community and inspiring students to succeed. For more information on Back to School click here.
In 2009 and beyond we will undertaking new campaigns that are focused on issues and trends that are critical to the overall wellbeing of young Australians.
