HOW TO APPLY FOR YOUNG SOCIAL PIONEERS
Apply for Young Social Pioneers 2013
Am I eligible?
You are eligible to apply if you are 18 to 29 years old and have been actively working on an initiative, project or ongoing campaign for a minimum of six months.
Applicants must be able to attend all of the following dates:
- 30 August 2013: Interstate Pioneers flown to Melbourne
- 30 August 2013: Early evening celebration
- 31 August 2013: Half-day workshop with 2012 Pioneers
- 1-6 September 2013: 5-day live-in learning retreat
- 29 November – 1 December 2013: Workshop series 1
- 21-23 February 2014: Workshop series 2
- 23-25 May 2014: Workshop series 3
- 29 August 2014: Full-day workshop – evaluation and reflection
- 29 August 2014: Early evening celebration
- 30 August 2014: Half-day workshop with 2014 Pioneers
How will I know if my application has been successful?
Applications will close on Friday 14 June 2013 at 5:00pm AEST.
Applications will be reviewed by the YSP Advisory Board from 6-7 July 2013.
Finalists will be notified by phone from 8-9 July 2013 and interviewed in their state by YSP alumni from 11-18 July 2013.
Unfortunately no feedback can be given at this stage to unsuccessful applicants.
Final interviews will be conducted via Skype by the YSP Advisory Board from 25-28 July 2013.
Successful Pioneers will be notified by phone from 29-31 July 2013.
Feedback will be given to unsuccessful finalists if requested.
