Education Foundation

One of our goals at FYA is to build on the success of our Education Foundation division and continue to create innovative programs that improve learning, push boundaries and contribute to the achievement of the Melbourne Declaration on Educational Goals for Young Australians.

We work collaboratively with community, government, not-for-profit and business sectors across Australia to give young Australians a quality education and equal access to opportunity.

A range of Education Foundation programs continue to thrive and grow, including:
Back to School
Cityscape
ruMAD?
Step-Up

“Twenty years ago Education Foundation was founded on the belief that a strong public education system is the responsibility of us all.

Throughout this time the generosity of wonderful donors (individuals and companies) helped to turn educational dreams into reality. Many of the initiatives Education Foundation helped to establish or support in its early days, such as Cityscape, ruMAD?, SYN and Hands On Learning are still alive and stronger than ever.

As the research and thought leadership expanded over time, Education Foundation became an educational leader in larger reform agendas. Through a range of networks and intersections it sought to make a difference to individual students, communities and school systems.

Last year FYA and Education Foundation formed a strategic alliance. This alliance enabled Education Foundation’s programs to be implemented at scale across Australia. As a division of FYA, Education Foundation will continue to promote and advocate for public education, and work tirelessly to improve the learning outcomes and life chances of all young Australians.”
