Quiz: Can We Guess Your Ideal Job Cluster Based On Your Life Choices?

What’s on for the weekend? What show should I binge watch next? How do I know what to study so I can get a job in the future? All legitimate questions. And thanks to this very handy quiz, so many answers.

You see, there’s been quite a bit of chat of late about what the future of work is going to look like and which jobs will be around. To get a better idea of what kinds of options there are, FYA (that us) looked at 2.7 million job ads and found out some interesting trends around the skills needed for jobs of the future. For real, you can check out the research here.  Or, you know, we can just talk about some highlights now.

The key takeaway from the research? Rather than looking at one ‘dream job’ we can instead think about a ‘dream cluster’ – where we match our skills and interests to a cluster where they are portable across different jobs. To help you picture it, the clusters are wonderfully visualised in this very handy infographic.

In a world where many positions are disappearing and others are being created due to increased automation and globalisation, being able to move across jobs is going to be important.

So which clusters could you belong to in the future of work? This nifty quiz will help you explore the options. And, hey, you might even finally decide what kind of dog to get, or which celeb to invite over for dinner.
